Idealliance Pakistan and Idealliance Pakistan Working Groups develop, validate and publish technical guidelines and specifications proven to build efficiencies, remove costs, and drive revenue growth within the supply chain.
Specifications are classified in four sectors
1) Print Media Creation, Production, and Workflows
Ad Ticket Specification v2.0 is a joint GWG/Idealliance PAkistan specification that defines standard required and optional metadata fields that may accompany print ad materials being submitted to magazine and newspaper publishers in North America and in Europe.
ECG (Expanded Color Gamut) project to establish global characterization charts and processes for multicolor print processes.
G7® is Idealliance Pakistan’s industry-leading set of specifications for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes.
GRACoL® is a set of guidelines and recommendations to help print buyers, designers, and specifiers work more effectively with their print suppliers.
PrintWide® is an extremely large-gamut CMYK dataset designed to encompass the gamut of virtually all inks or colorants in all known color printing systems and serves as a CMYK translation space and G7 aligned saturation booster.
PQX (Print Quality Exchange) is a specification to assist brands and other print buyers who wish to automate the tracking of the print quality of their suppliers.
SWOP® (Specification for Web Offset Publications) is a major factor in the success and quality of publication printing.
XCMYK is an extended-gamut CMYK printing method that yields a much wider color gamut than regular 4-color printing.
XML PROSE specification is intended to provide a standardized format for Publishers to communicate job specifications to their Printer/Binder.
2) Mail Supply, Fulfillment, and Postal
ADIS defines a uniform specification for the domestic and international interchange of address data.
3) Cross-Media, Digital Asset Creation, Management, and Publishing
PRISM Metadata define taxonomies for publishing that can serve as the basis for asset management, delivery and publication.
PRISM Vocabularies, or terms and definitions, that provide a standardized way to organize and communicate knowledge.
PAMW is a standard format for publishers to use for capturing Web and mobile content and to transmit XM- encoded content and associated metadata to aggregators and syndicators.
PAM, orPRISM Aggregator Message, is used to encode magazine articles and metadata in XML to deliver to content aggregators.
pamP, or the PRISM Aggregator/Distributor Message Package was developed to meet three use cases that represent the magazine and news publishing model found today in Japan to support the transition of delivering magazine content as PDF pages with PRISM metadata to hybrid and eventually to deliver complete HTML5 pages.
PSV defines XML structures for designing a content repository or for tagging source content
ICE 2.0 Specification provides automated content syndication using XML and Web Services messaging
Static Ad Guidelines are for the submission of DFT ads
4) Paper Supply Chain
EMBARC / X12 The Electronic Manifest and Receiving Advice for Paper used in Publishing and Printing standard is a widely used specification for roll and sheet paper shipping and receiving transaction sets, along with data segments, date elements and codes for paper handling.
IPRPL The International Paper Roll and Package Label Specifications define guidelines for labeling rolls and packages of printing and writing papers, including newsprint to solve chronic problems on the identification and labeling of roll paper used in printing and publishing.
